Lecture | AIA National Conference
Join principal Juan Mirò, FAIA at the AIA Conference on Architecture 2023 in San Francisco, where he will speak on the importance of windows in living spaces:
Windows in bedrooms provide clear health benefits by offering natural light, natural ventilation, and visual connections with the outside. While windowless bedrooms have been banned in some cities, they are a growing and disconcerting trend in student housing, where developers and their architects have taken advantage of code exceptions to house thousands of students in windowless spaces. At a time when U.S. colleges and universities are experiencing a well-documented mental health crisis, architects have a responsibility to advocate for a window in every bedroom.
The lecture will take place on June 7 from 4-5pm; additional details here.
