The Five Yard House is one of the honoree’s at this year’s Texas Society of Architects Design Awards! After reviewing 150 entries, jurors Monica Chadha, AIA, of Civic Projects in Chicago; Paul Danna, FAIA, of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in Los Angeles; Jeff Goldstein, FAIA, of Digsau in Philadelphia; and Claire Weisz, FAIA, of WXY Studios in New York City, recognized 25 projects. From the jury:

“An exciting and innovative approach to preservation. The careful restoration preserves the structure, contributing to the scale of the neighborhood. Meanwhile, the new addition weaves building and landscape together through a sophisticated interaction of indoor and outdoor spaces.” – Jeff Goldstein, FAIA
